We collect only what we need to run the shop, and we don't sell your information.

Who we are

The Store at Spinks Nest is the trading name of Ana Perez. We are responsible for your personal information under UK data protection law. Our address is Riverbank, Kings Street, Hunworth, NR24 2EH. You can reach us through our contact form or at info@spinksnest.com.

What we collect

Orders: your name, email address, delivery and billing addresses, any phone number you give, and what you bought.
Payments: these are handled by Shopify. We don't see your full card number.
Messages: what you send through our contact form, including your name and email address.
Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up.
Your account: your login details, if you create an account.
Website use: the pages you view, your device and browser, and your IP address, collected partly through cookies.

Why we use it

To take and deliver your order, and look after you afterwards. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
To keep tax and accounting records. The law requires this.
To answer your messages, run the website and prevent fraud. These are our legitimate interests in running the shop.
To send our newsletter. We do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To show and measure our advertising. We do this with your consent, which you give through our cookie choices.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which runs our shop and checkout and takes payments.
Royal Mail, which delivers parcels.
Mailchimp, which sends our newsletter.
Meta, for advertising on Facebook and Instagram, through a tracking pixel on this website.
Google, for listing our products and measuring our advertising.

Some of these companies are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the law requires safeguards to protect your information, such as approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

Order records: 6 years, for tax purposes.
Messages: 2 years.
Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

Some cookies are essential for your basket and checkout. We only use others, for measuring visits and advertising, if you agree. You can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, to limit how we use it, to object to our using it, or to receive a copy to pass to someone else. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Just contact us, and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
