Terms of service
These terms apply whenever you buy from The Store at Spinks Nest, alongside our refund, shipping and privacy policies.
Who we are
The Store at Spinks Nest is the trading name of Ana Perez. Our address is Riverbank, Kings Street, Hunworth, NR24 2EH. You can reach us through our contact form or at info@spinksnest.com.
What we sell
- Homewares, gifts, food and drink from small makers, delivered in the UK.
- The Shed Shop at the cottages, for guests, who pay through this website.
- Extras and provisions for stays at Spinks Nest and Riverbank.
- Gift vouchers.
Placing an order
You must be 18 or over to place an order. When you order, you're making an offer to buy, and we'll email to confirm we've received it.
The contract between us starts when we email to say your order has been dispatched. For stay extras, gift vouchers and Shed Shop purchases, it starts when we email to confirm your order.
If we can't fulfil an order, for example because a one-off piece has sold or a price was wrong, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Any delivery charge is shown at checkout, before you pay. Payment is taken at checkout.
Delivery
We deliver within the UK only. Our shipping policy has the details.
Handmade and vintage pieces
Many of our pieces are made by hand or are vintage, so yours may differ slightly from the photo. Handmade pieces vary in glaze, colour and shape, and vintage pieces show their age. Colours can also look different from one screen to another.
Food and drink
Please check product descriptions and labels. If you have an allergy, ask us before you order.
Extras for your stay
Extras need a confirmed booking at the cottage they're for, and some, such as late check-out, depend on availability. The terms of your booking apply to the stay itself.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can be spent at The Store or put towards a stay at Spinks Nest, subject to availability. They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They can't be exchanged for cash, except as set out in our refund policy.
Changing your mind, and faulty items
Our refund policy explains your right to cancel and what happens if something is faulty.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, as our goods are for private use.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected.
Events outside our control
If something outside our control delays or prevents an order, we'll tell you as soon as we can and refund anything you've paid for but won't receive.
Our website
The photos, words and designs on this website belong to us or to our makers. Please don't reuse them without permission.
Changes and the law that applies
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this website when you order is the one that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
