A faceted 10oz mug, wheel-thrown in flecked stoneware by Hannah Burgess Ceramics, in two glazes.

Moss is a verdant green glaze with a soft satin to gloss finish where it is applied thinner, inspired by the dense moss in shaded forest interiors and on Yorkshire’s dry stone walls.

White speckle is a glossy white glaze enriched with subtle flecks of red iron oxide that emerge through the surface during firing.

The potter leaves their fingerprints at the base on purpose, from dipping each mug into the glaze bucket.

Approx. H 7.5cm, ⌀ 9.5cm, 300ml (10oz); allow 10% for variation as each is handmade. Price is for one mug.

All items are hand-thrown on the wheel and glazed in the potter’s own glazes, so there may be slight differences in form and glazing between pieces. Dishwasher and microwave safe, though hand-washing is always recommended for handmade pottery.
